Who is your unsung business hero?

Our Good Egg Awards are now fully underway and we’ve loved reading some of the great nominations received so far. If you haven’t had chance to enter your unsung hero just yet, you have until 5 pm on Friday 23^rd March to nominate them for their chance to win a hamper of chocolate!

Our Good Egg Awards recognise staff for their often overlooked services to quality, the environment, information security, GDPR and internal auditing. Businesses throughout the UK are invited to nominate anyone who:

• Has helped their company to achieve ISO compliance AND embedded the standard into their company’s culture OR
• Has helped improved the quality of a product/service, making customers happier OR
• Has been an exemplary internal auditor OR
• Has prepared their organisations for GDPR OR
• Has trained peers in matters relating to our five categories

Winners will be selected at random from the following categories:

Quality

Who is your quality champion? Who always ensures that products or services are exactly what your customers need? Who will always suggest improvements or new ways of doing things? Who puts quality at the heart of your company culture? If certified to ISO 9001, who has implemented or taken over the running of your management system, ensuring ongoing compliance?

Environmental

Who encourages colleagues to save resources and minimise wastage? Who has increased recycling levels and reduced landfill? If certified to ISO 14001, who has implemented or taken over the running of your management system, ensuring ongoing compliance and minimising your company’s impact on the environment?

Information Security

Who ensures your data – and your customers’ – is kept securely? Who makes sure that all staff understand their role in maintaining security? If certified to ISO 27001, who has implemented or taken over the running of your management system, ensuring ongoing compliance?

 GDPR

Who has taken up the baton of GDPR and worked tirelessly to get your organisation ready? Have you a GDPR expert in your midst who is educating colleagues and debunking the myths around GDPR?

Internal Auditor

Who has the difficult job of auditing their colleagues and ensuring that remedial actions are carried out as part of your company’s quest for continual improvement?
