The new BS EN 15713:2023 has been published. Here’s everything you need to know about the changes and how to transition from BS EN 15713:2009.
BS EN 15713 is the British version (BS) of the European standard (EN) for the secure destruction of confidential and sensitive material. Originally designed to sit within the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, BS EN 15713’s extensive update allows for independent implementation. However, integration with ISO 9001 is still recommended to enhance the effectiveness of your management system. The 2023 update also brings closer alignment with ISO 27001 Information Security and ISO 22301 Business Continuity and still maintains its synergy with ISO 14001 Environmental Management. This makes integration with these additional standards much easier and unlocks a range of benefits for your business.
