The Industrial Cadets scheme aims to help address skills shortage affecting manufacturing. We had the pleasure of being introduced to the scheme by one of Worcester’s largest employers, Yamazaki Mazak, a leading global manufacturer of machine tools.

Does certification mean more the second time around?

We believe it does.  When you are implementing something for the first time, it often gets allocated extra resource, whether money or time, to make sure certification is achieved by your self-imposed deadline.

In contrast, when something is due to be certified for the second time, it rarely draws any extra attention.
