Through our ‘Trolley Dash’ campaign, we have been able to donate a fifth of a ton of food to Worcester Foodbank, equating to nearly 150 meals to those in crisis!
In June the Worcester Foodbank made an urgent appeal to boost its depleted supplies after finding the number of people being referred for help were up 61% compared to May last year. Following the success of our ‘Bingo Box Challenge’ last Christmas, the team at ISO Quality Services wanted to step in to help the local charity once more.
After pledging to spend £100 in the supermarket on much needed items, we decided once again to contact other local businesses for support. These businesses were asked to get involved by donating £25, £50, £75 or £100 to the shopping budget. We then completed a ‘Trolley Dash’, ticking items off the Worcester Foodbank’s shopping list.
With the support of these businesses and three overflowing trolley’s later, we were able to donate a fifth of a ton of food, equating to nearly 150 meals for those in crisis.
Client Services Account Manager, Kerrie Radburn, who initially spotted the appeal in the Worcester News commented “I was really surprised to see how much the Worcester Foodbank were struggling and how many more Clients they now have. As soon as I read about the appeal, I wanted to get the team involved with helping the charity again.
We would like to thank Haines Watts, Hallmark Hulme, Indegu Limited, Umbrella Training and Development and Worcester Web Studio for their support with this campaign and we look forward to helping the Worcester Foodbank again in the future”.
