This National Apprenticeship Week hear from Ross Davis our Finance Assistant
More than 5 months have passed working here as an apprentice at ISO Quality Services and I don’t know where the time has gone, it feels like I was being welcomed here by the other team members just last month!
Coming into a new place of work can be daunting, and in the days leading up to my induction into ISO Quality Services I was nervous of meeting the team; however when I met the staff my anxiety about starting to work here diminished.
The staff have made both Kerrie and I feel welcome within the team as soon as we started as apprentices here. We enjoy doing activities with the team outside of work, such as going to the cinema after work, which makes us feel like a true member of the team.
Whilst working at ISO Quality Services, I have experienced such a wide range of work, and I have seen a lot of different aspects of the business and covered nearly all the different types of tasks associated with working in finance.
Experiencing such a wide range of work has helped me understand the work I do in college as I actually get to put it into practice. I couldn’t have dreamt of a better start to my apprenticeship!
Myself and Kerrie have also been involved in a variety training activities at ISO Quality Services, including team building exercises, which has really helped our progression into our job role, and is a benefit to us that we may not have had working for different company.
I look forward to progressing even further into my career and job role at ISO Quality Services; taking on new tasks and challenges.
Looking back at my time at ISO Quality Services, I have enjoyed myself so much! Having said that, if there was something I could change about my experience here, it would be that I started sooner.
