Lead Assessor’s fundraising prowess

ISO Quality Services Ltd’s Andrew Graham has raised over £2,000 so far during March, for Worldwide Cancer Research by running around Worcester for 24 hours non-stop.
Setting off from outside the city cathedral at 5pm on Friday 20 March, Andrew ran 108 miles until 5pm the next day. Andrew (51), who was diagnosed with throat and mouth cancer in 2002, said the run was gruelling but very rewarding.
“I have had some amazing experiences in life and this one is right up there from a personal perspective,” said Andrew.
Although a careless driver ran over his right big toe just six miles in and he developed a particularly nasty blood blister on his right foot, Andrew powered on and completed the challenge.
Family, Friends, supporters and fellow members of Andrew’s running group the ‘Black Pears’ were fantastic, particularly between 1am and 6am when the cold winds were particularly harsh.
“I had smiling faces, constant route checks, Black Pears popping up all over the route for selfies and just to shout encouragement,” said Andrew.
Later this year Andrew is planning on taking part in the London Marathon as well as running the entire length of Great Britain from John O’Groats to Land’s End.
