We’ve already got CHAS and Safe Contractor – why would we need BS OHSAS 18001 Certification?

BS OHSAS 18001 underpins a company’s entire health and safety management system. It gives the company the framework to manage the health and safety system as a whole, including on and off site working. Companies who run an 18001 system in conjunction with either CHAS or Safe Contractor find it much easier to manage the overall health and safety of its employees, visitors and customers. Events we are doing in October

We attended on of our favourite events on the 11th Ocotber, which is the NISP ‘Quick Wins’ Wokshup at Wolverhampton University. NISP are about connecting industries and creating opportunities. Since April 2005 NISP have helped its members make over £163 million in cost savings and generated then £172 million in additional sales. This month we will also be attending the North Worcester Networking Lunch on Wednesday 17th October 2012 and the Business Speaker breakfast with Jerry Blackett on Wednesday 24th October 2012.

Employment Law Update – Minimum Wage

Changes will be made to minimum wage for those over 21 from the 1st October 2012. Currently minimum wage stands a £6.08 an hour however this will be increase to £6.19 an hour. The rate for those 21 and under will remain unchanged. The 1.8% rise is lower than the typical rise in earnings and the current rate of inflation.
