Module overview

No Quality Management System (QMS) can reach its full potential without regular monitoring and auditing.  Clause 9 of ISO 9001 focuses on performance evaluation, including internal audits and monitoring processes to ensure they remain effective and compliant.

Internal audits provide a structured review of your management system, giving a snapshot of how your organisation meets ISO 9001 requirements at a particular point in time.  Audits not only demonstrate compliance, they also highlight gaps or weaknesses that may affect the effectiveness of your QMS.

Clause 10 of ISO 9001 covers improvement, emphasising continual enhancement of processes, products, services, and your overall QMS.  When approached correctly, internal audits become a powerful tool for learning, improvement, and embedding a culture of continual improvement throughout your organisation.

This module will guide you through the principles and practices of internal auditing and continual improvement, helping you drive real, measurable improvements in your QMS.
