ISO 27001 Leadership and Performance Measures

Module Information

Strong leadership is essential for the success of any Information Security Management System (ISMS).  ISO 27001:2022 places significant emphasis on the role of top management, ensuring they set the direction, provide resources, promote continual improvement, and embed information security into the organisation’s culture. These expectations are captured in Clause 5: Leadership, which requires management to demonstrate commitment, establish clear roles and responsibilities, and communicate the importance of effective information security.

Alongside leadership, the Standard requires organisations to evaluate how well their ISMS is performing. This is covered in Clause 9 Performance Evaluation, which focuses on reviewing information security performance, identifying trends, and ensuring that controls, processes, and policies are delivering the desired outcomes.

This module focuses on leadership and performance measures within the context of ISO 27001. This module is designed to give you a clear understanding of the key requirements in this area and how to implement them effectively within your organisation.
