Five brave members of the ISO Quality Services Ltd team are preparing to step well outside their comfort zones this November, all in support of a cause that has been close to our hearts for more than 20 years.
Jennifer, Debbie, Mel, Leah and David will be taking on the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity Firewalk Challenge 2026, walking barefoot across a bed of glowing hot embers to raise vital funds for the charity.
With a fundraising target of £600, the team are hoping colleagues, clients, friends, family and supporters will get behind them and help us make a difference.

More than 20 years of supporting Midlands Air Ambulance Charity
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is a cause that means a great deal to everyone at ISO QSL.
For more than two decades, we have supported the charity through fundraising events and initiatives, helping to raise over £40,000 towards its lifesaving work.
Our annual fundraising activities remain an important part of that commitment, but we are always looking for new ways to support the charity and raise awareness of the work it does.
This year, that means facing the heat and taking on a completely new challenge!
Why continued fundraising matters
The importance of fundraising was brought home recently when Debbie, our HR & Facilities Director and a Midlands Air Ambulance Charity Ambassador, met with the charity alongside other supporters to learn more about the challenges it faces.
The meeting provided an opportunity to understand how businesses like ISO QSL can continue to strengthen their support. It also highlighted the significant financial pressures involved in maintaining a lifesaving emergency service and keeping pace with developments in care and innovation, a cost that can reach well within millions of pounds.
Most importantly, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity receives no government funding for its daily operations and does not receive National Lottery funding.
It relies on the generosity of local people, businesses, volunteers and fundraising activities to help keep its service operating and be there for people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives – which is an average of 4000 missions every year across 6 counties!
Hearing more about the scale of that challenge has only strengthened our determination to continue supporting the charity.
As Debbie reflected after the meeting, when compared with the challenges the charity faces every day, walking across hot coals suddenly doesn’t seem quite so daunting!
Help us reach our target

Our team might be the ones walking over the hot coals, but we need your help to make the challenge count.
We have set ourselves a target of £600, and every donation will help support the continued work of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
Whether it is £5, £10 or something more, every contribution matters. If you’re unable to donate, sharing our fundraising page can help us reach even more people.
