My Background

I joined ISO Quality Services Ltd in January 2014, with my previous experience including roles in social housing, customer service, recruitment and hospitality. I am part of the Appleton family that is behind ISO Quality Services! We truly are a family-run business.

My Role

Originally joining to assist with the newly formed training department, my role has developed alongside it. I helped our training gain its identity and purpose within the company, working with a great team of trainers and assessors who assisted in creating compelling courses and bespoke training solutions that support the management systems we implement, along with developing our online training modules from the ground up. In March 2017, I was promoted to Director and concentrated on business development, networking and marketing to continue the level of growth that we enjoyed. I forged relationships with several training partners, to widen our reach and have appreciated seeing the positive impact training has on businesses and staff.

In early 2019, I moved to HR & Facilities Director, taking control of our recruitment and retention strategy for ISO Quality Services, along with the day-to-day HR responsibilities, internal staff training and looking after our working environment. I am the Wellbeing Lead for the company, focusing on all areas of the health and wellbeing of our staff, and now take a more strategic HR role, supporting our line managers within this.

I continue to be part of our leadership team and board, assisting in driving our business forward.

Life Outside of ISO QSL

I am married to Justin Farr, our Business Development Specialist (and no we did not meet at work!), and we are parents to two lovely girls! I enjoy good food, travelling when time and funds allow, and being out in the fresh air! There is nothing more I like than putting on my wellies and big coat for a stomp over the Malvern Hills – with my favourite time being sunrise!
