What to expect on the day
Our internal auditor training is delivered either in person at our Worcester training suite or remotely via Zoom, so you can choose the format that works best for you.
The day runs from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm and typically includes 6-10 delegates.ย This keeps group sizes small enough for personal attention while still giving you the benefit of shared experiences and discussion.
If youโre joining us online, we ask that you keep your cameras on and that you have a working microphone.ย This helps everyone stay engaged and connected and allows you to take part in discussions throughout the session.
We begin the day with introductions and a light icebreaker (nothing too scary), so you can get to know your trainer and fellow delegates.ย From there, we dive into the course content, which includes practical exercises and group discussions to make learning hands-on and engaging.ย Youโll also receive a training book to work from and keep, so you can revisit what youโve learned whenever you need.
If youโre joining us at our training suite, lunch is provided, along with refreshments to keep you fuelled throughout the day.
Meet your internal auditor trainers

With years of hands-on experience, our trainers bring real-life insights and tips that go beyond theory, helping you tackle common audit challenges with confidence. Youโll also have the chance to ask questions and learn from their experience, making the training highly interactive and relevant to your day-to-day work.

Who is this training for?
This course is ideal if you:
- Are new to internal auditing
- Have responsibility for auditing your management systems
- Are helping to train colleagues to run internal audits
- Are already an internal auditor but want to refresh your knowledge and skills
You donโt need any previous experience.ย Before the day, youโll get access to our Internal Auditor online training module, which will give you a head start and help you get the most from the day.
Whilst it’s not mandatory, completing training relevant to the ISO standard you’ll be auditing against (for example, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 27001) can be beneficial, as it provides useful background context.ย However, this course is suitable as a standalone option if you haven’t completed alternative training yet.
Why choose internal auditor training?
Our internal auditor training course goes beyond theory. ย Through practical exercises and group discussions, youโll be able to apply what you learn straight away and build real confidence in your auditing skills.
For over 25 years, weโve been supporting clients to implement, improve, and audit their systems effectively. All our trainers have hands-on experience, so youโre learning from people who understand the challenges you face in real-world audits. They bring theory to life, share practical insights, and answer your questions based on years of auditing experience.
The course is also CPD-accredited, meaning it has been independently assessed to meet the standard required for continued professional development.ย As part of this, you will also receive a free one-year membership with the Institute of CPD, helping you to further enhance your career through prestigious post-nominals and year-round access to guidance on using CPD for further career enhancement.
