Rising hunger in the UK: donate to Bingo Box and make an impact
The need for support in our community has never been more pressing. Over the past year alone, foodbanks within the Trussell Trust network have distributed over 3.1 million emergency food parcels – an astonishing 94% increase in just five years.
With 1 in 7 people across the UK struggling with hunger and unable to afford basic necessities, these challenging times serve as a stark reminder of the growing need for help. Worcester Foodbank, for instance, saw demand rise by 29% in 2022/23, providing crucial support to nearly 15,000 people.
As the demand for foodbanks continues to climb, initiatives like our Bingo Box campaign are more essential than ever, helping ensure no one is left behind.

How you can make a difference
Get ready, because our Bingo Box annual charity campaign is back for its 7th year!
The idea of the campaign is very simple: we challenge organisations to complete a Bingo Box sheet with the item Worcester Foodbank needs the most in time for Christmas. Alternatively, a supermarket gift card or cash donation can be made. in time for Christmas.
Last year’s campaign was met with an incredible response, with nearly 50 Bingo Boxes donated, amounting to 345kg of food. This helped Worcester Foodbank provide around 70 meals to individuals in crisis. In addition, £575 was generously contributed to support the foodbank during the quieter months when donations were low.

 Here’s how to get involved
1.   Download your bingo kit HERE.
2.   Complete one or both bingo sheets, or alternatively, purchase a supermarket gift card, allowing Worcester Foodbank to obtain exactly what they need.
3.   Deliver your completed Bingo Box or gift card to ISO QSL’s headquarters in St. John’s, Worcester. If preferred, you can deliver your donation directly to your local foodbank. Be sure to snap a photo of your donation! The deadline is Friday, 22nd November.
4.   In return, we’ll give you plenty of recognition on our social media channels, and you’ll also have the chance to win a box of festive chocolates!
