The Bingo Box Challenge Returns
Our much-loved Bingo Box Challenge is back for its ninth year, and we’re asking local businesses, organisations and individuals to help make this Christmas one to remember for families across our community.
What is the Bingo Box Challenge?
The Bingo Box Challenge is our annual winter campaign in support of Worcester Foodbank. Each year, we encourage businesses and the wider community to come together and donate essential food and household items to help local families facing hardship during the winter months.
While Christmas is often a time of joy and celebration, for many families it can be one of the most difficult times of the year. No one should have to choose between putting food on the table and heating their home.
The cost of living crisis continues to affect households across the UK, and demand for food bank support remains high. Over the last 12 months, Worcester Foodbank and the Trussell Trust have helped more than 14,000 people, including around 5,000 children who received emergency food parcels.
Behind every parcel is a person, a family, a neighbour who needs a helping hand. By taking part in the Bingo Box Challenge, you’ll help ensure that local people receive the support they need when they need it most.
This Christmas, we’re once again asking businesses and local organisations to get involved and help those most in need.
How can you get involved?
- Sign up to take part
Click the link below and let us know you’re taking part. We’ll send you everything you need, including your Bingo Box sheets and full campaign details. - Fill your Bingo Box
Collect as many of the essential items listed on your Bingo sheets as possible. You can work towards completing a full box or simply donate what you can. - Drop off your donations
Bring your donated items to our St John’s HQ by Friday 27th November. We’ll then deliver everything collected to the local food bank in time to support families over the festive season. - Prefer to donate money instead?
If you’re short on time or unable to shop, a cash donation is just as valuable. Register your interest through the link below and we’ll send you details on how to make a financial contribution.
