ISO Consultancy

Why choose ISO consultancy?

When you’re working toward ISO certification or maintaining an existing management system, the right support can make all the difference.  Many organisations come to us because they need help achieving UKAS accredited certification, while others require guidance to strengthen the systems they already have in place.  Whatever support you require, our highly experienced ISO consultants are here to help.

Our consultancy approach mirrors the same collaborative, practical method we use when implementing new management systems.  You’ll receive as much support as you need, whether that’s hands‑on guidance or strategic oversight. We simplify every stage of the process so it stays clear, manageable, and stress‑free for you and your team.

Our ISO expertise

Our consultant’s wealth of knowledge and expertise mean we can offer ISO consultancy for a wide range of certifications, some examples include:

These are only some examples. If you require consultancy for a Standard not listed above, please contact our team as we may still be able to support you.

How can we help you with Accredited Certification, such as UKAS?

While we don’t issue accredited certification ourselves, we provide the expert support you’ll need to navigate the process confidently.  Many organisations seek consultancy because accredited certification bodies cannot offer guidance during assessments, which means you’re expected to interpret and implement requirements without help.  That’s where we step in.

Our consultants support you through every stage of the journey, helping you understand what’s required, align your processes with the relevant standard, and help you prepare for your UKAS audit.  If you need us to, we can also attend your Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits to ensure you feel supported throughout.

Once you’ve achieved accredited certification, our support doesn’t stop there.  We can help you stay on track with ongoing consultancy to ensure you maintain compliance year after year.

Is Accedited Certification necessary?

For many organisations, non‑accredited certification is more than sufficient.  It’s often quicker to achieve and more cost‑effective, making it a practical choice in sectors where formal accreditation is not essential.

However, some industries, contracts, or tenders do require accredited certification, and our team can help you determine whether it’s necessary for your organisation.  We’ll guide you through the options so you can make an informed decision before committing time and investment.

"NetCare is a relatively small company in the middle of the South Pacific. Our ISO 9001 & ISO 27001 Certifications had expired and lapsed by about 4 months. Though literally being halfway across the globe, the ISO QSL team, including our Auditor, were eager to help us get back on to the ISO track and provided us with all the assistance we needed at a time convenient for us to meet."

Support with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Transition

When a new version of ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 is published, your management system will need to be updated to stay compliant.  ISO 14001:2026 has now been published, and ISO 9001:2026 is planned for publication in September 2026.

Our ISO consultancy service gives you the practical, hands‑on support you’ll need to manage that transition smoothly.  We’ll help you understand what’s changed, how to update your processes and documentation, and guide your team so the upgrade feels straightforward, not disruptive.

Whether you want early advice, a clear action plan, or full support in completing the transition, we’ll work alongside you to keep your certification on track.

What is the process?

To begin with, our consultant will visit you to conduct a non-committal GAP analysis. This helps us to identify where your business is now, what needs to be completed to reach your intended goal and how many days consultancy would be required.  Whilst this is not a formal consultancy day, you will benefit from the advice and support of our consultant, which will also be sent to you in a formal report.  Should you wish to proceed, we will provide additional consultancy to help you implement our findings.

FAQs

Certification providers are unable to offer both non-accredited and accredited certification.  We've actively chosen to provide non-accredited certification because we are passionate about the support we can provide our clients and we really enjoy building relationships with them.

It's important to understand that both routes will provide you with the same management system, it's just who certificates you and how that is different:

  • Accredited certification providers are assessed by national accredited bodies such as UKAS and INAB.  They are unable to offer you any support during the implementation or ongoing management of your management system.
  • Non-accredited providers like ours are not assessed or accredited by any national accreditation body.  We are able to provide you with all the support you need at every step of the process.  This is why our services are often required to support businesses through the accreditation process.
