Encase you are not aware of the standard, the ISO 14001 environmental management standard helps organisations put procedures / policies / processes in place to boost their environmental performance.

ISO management standards are reviewed every five years to ensure they are still relevant within today’s working world.  A revision of the standard is currently underway and is expected to be published in September 2015.

ISO 14001:2015 will be based on Annex SL – the new high level structure that brings a common framework to all management systems.  By structuring it this way, it will help to keep consistency, align different management system standards and applies common language across all standards.

As well as the ISO 14001, the ISO 9001 is also due for updates in 2015.  The ISO 9001 Quality management standard, the worlds most popular for Quality management is now under review.  A draft available of the standard is available.  However the updated version is due to be with us by the end of 2015.quality-zoomed-text
