Trolley Dash Boosts Supplies at Local Foodbanks

12 Aug, 2019

During our recent ‘Trolley Dash’ campaign we discovered Droitwich Foodbank were also in desperate need of help so extended our help to them too.

Following an urgent appeal by the Worcester Foodbank in June, we launched our ‘Trolley Dash’ campaign to help boost the Charity’s supplies.  It was during this campaign we also discovered that Droitwich Foodbank was also in desperate need of help.

After pledging to spend £100 in the supermarket on much needed items, we decided once again to contact other local businesses for support.  These businesses were asked to get involved by donating £25, £50, £75 or £100 to the shopping budget.  We then completed a ‘Trolley Dash’, ticking items off the Foodbank’s shopping list.

With the support of these businesses and five overflowing trolley’s later, we were able to donate a third of a ton of food, equating to nearly 276 meals for those in crisis.

Client Services Account Manager, Kerrie Radburn, who initially spotted the appeal in the Worcester News commented “I was really surprised to see how much the Worcester Foodbank was struggling and how many more Clients they now have.  As soon as I read about the appeal, I wanted to get the team involved with helping the charity.  It was through a discussion with the Charity that we heard how much Droitwich had also been struggling so wanted to extend support to them also.

We would like to thank Haines Watts, Hallmark Hulme, Indegu Limited, RCA Regeneration, Umbrella Training and Development and Worcester Web Studio for their support with this campaign”.
