Training for the Future of ISO

ISO Quality Services Ltd is boasting a brand new, on-site training facility thanks, in part, to a grant from Enterprising Worcestershire. Jennifer Appleton, Operations Director of ISO Quality Services Ltd applied for £2,500, which the company match funded, in order to buy equipment for their new training division.

ISO Quality Services Ltd helps companies to become ISO compliant, undertaking an assessment, producing recommendations, drawing up a plan and assisting with writing a manual, then regularly monitoring and assisting with year on year re-certification. The company has seen exciting growth in the last year expanding from four to twelve employees in the last twelve months.

Jennifer heard about Enterprising Worcestershire at a Chamber of Commerce networking event and decided that the opportunity to obtain £2,500 for free, was too good to miss. Jennifer commented that the staff at Enterprising Worcestershire were very helpful with questions along the way, as she put together a business plan for the venture, and receiving the grant took away the stress of any cash flow issues.

‘I had an offer letter within a week of submitting my business plan, which really helped with planning the new unit. We are now expanding with our new division and have £2,500 to spend elsewhere if we need to.’

The company has now established a training division on-site at their head office in Worcester, to help businesses to embed the ISO philosophy by training employees, managers and internal auditors.

Jennifer continues, ‘The funding has really allowed us to set up the division properly and kit out the room as a professional training facility.’
