On Friday 1st August 2014, ISO Quality Services Ltd held a team building afternoon in order to raise money for the JDRF type 1 diabetes charity.  The event was organised by New Business Development Executive Emily Cameron.  For her team building event, she decided to create a team quiz, all members of staff were put into teams of three / four and were put to the test!  The quiz consisted of 10 rounds (6 question rounds which included Music, General Knowledge and Geography 4 picture rounds which included Who am I, guess the logo) and a bonus round where the teams had to guess as many Disney Princesses that they could!

The 3 teams were:

  • The Red Hot Oompah Loompahs (Jennifer Appleton Operations Director, Lynne Thomas, Senior Client Relationship Executive, Kay Garnett Finance Manager and Martin Webber our German work experience student).
  • Three Blind Mice (Natalie Allison, Trainee Client Relationship Administrator and Janet Tandy, Business Development Executive).
  • And the Winners are….The Jelly Babies (Chantall Herbert, Business Development Manager, Rebecca Bennett, Graduate Client Relationship Administrator and Mike Williams, Finance Assistant).

JDRF is completely focused on type 1 diabetes, it is run by people with type 1 for type 1.  They fund research to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes.  JDRF has been around for 40 years and so far has funded more than £1 billion of research globally.  They fund more than 400 research projects around the globe and 10% of this is in the UK.

Altogether we raised £36.00 for two hours of team building fun!  What could you raise?
