David has a vast range of experience working in a variety of business sectors supporting clients with their ISO certifications since 2010. Prior to this, David has been a plumber, a lecturer of plumbing, consultant and an Audit Manager.
Currently, he is a government registered consultant for small business start-up’s incorporating Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
David’s career has predominately been within the plumbing and heating industry where he held several positions to include Engineer, Supervisor, Manager and Lecturer.
David gained first-hand experience of implementing and managing management systems when he took on the role as Quality Management Manager. During this role, he managed and controlled all matters associated with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BS OHSAS 18001 (now ISO 45501) and ISO 27001.
David spent 15 years as Principle Training Assessor for the Combustion Engineering Association (CEA) Boiler Operations Accreditation Scheme (BOAS) ensuring staff are trained to operate all equipment safely.
As an assessor, David’s role was to ensure that operators and managers prove the competence of their operations in compliance with current regulations associated with the industry.
The assessment program has been devised in consultation with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), the insurance industry, manufacturers of boilers, burners, and associated equipment, and employers, with the practical support of The Carbon Trust. Working closely with major companies in the UK and Ireland from manufacturing to power generation.
