ISO Quality Services named Family Business Employer of the Year

20 Nov, 2015

Following our recent success at the Regional Final of the National Apprenticeship Awards, we have also been awarded ‘Employer of the Year’ at the Midlands Family Business Awards.

Now in their sixth year, the awards recognise the efforts of family-run businesses throughout in the Midlands. We were awarded the title at an glamorous awards ceremony, held at the Athena in Leicester on November 12th, after being announced as a finalist in September.

In our category we faced strong competition from five other finalists to take home the award, which was sponsored by Royal London.

The judging panel commented that our presentation interview really stood out against the competition due to our commitment to supporting our staff through training and personal development.

Operations Director, Jennifer Appleton said, “We are extremely honoured to have been chosen for this award. Being a family-run business is very important to how our whole company operates, and we hope it is something that is felt in all our relationships from our staff, to our partners and our clients.

As a growing company, our recruitment efforts are an essential activity and we have taken on four new employees this year; two apprentices and a graduate. We also take our responsibilities as an employer very seriously, looking after our existing staff both within their professional development but also their general well-being”.

Our Managing Director, Peter Appleton, described the award as “very special for the whole company”. He also added that, “As we have grown, the ethos of family is still very central to our business; it is at the heart of our values and extended to all of our employees.”

Everyone is extremely excited that the company has been acknowledged within the region. Alongside our award last month at the Apprenticeship Awards, it has been a very successful end of the year. We hope this run of luck helps us to become a finalist at the National Apprenticeship Awards in January!
