CESG Certified Professional Scheme – Now available to Industry

Late last mon7-Security-Policy-Developmentth the CESG (Communications Electronic Security Group) announced that its CESG Certified Professional (CCP) Scheme has been expand to include those responsible for securing UK industry networks.

The CESG is the UK Governments National Technical Authority for Information Assurance (IA) and work primarily with the UK’s Central government departments and agencies to provide policy and assistance on the security of communications and electronic data.

The scheme which was originally launched in October 2012 was for those working on government networks and formally recognises the expertise of those working in the information assurance and cyber security sectors. For the first time professionals responsible for protecting UK industry networks from threats and vulnerabilities can now take advantage of the scheme.*

ISO Quality Services Ltd’s,  Lead Assessor, Percy Beynon is already accredited to scheme for four roles.
