Celebrating 15 years in 2015

18 Jun, 2015

On the 18th June 2015 ISO Quality Services welcomed numerous local businesses to help celebrate their 15th anniversary.

Dubbed ‘15 in 2015’, the event took place at Browns at the Quay which is set along the beautiful banks of the river Severn in the heart of Worcester.

After much preparation, the venue was set, the tables were decorated with balloons and champagne classes full of sweets, the raffle prizes were carefully laid out and everyone was dressed to impress!

Upon arrival, attendees were welcomed with glasses full of prosecco which were kindly provided by The Leadership Trust who were the main event sponsors.

The first speech of the evening was in fact The Leadership Trust as their CEO Rob Noble gave a very interesting talk about their business and how as they are celebrating their 40th anniversary they are continuing to pursue ambitious growth plans.

We appreciate the tension that sometimes comes with networking events which is why we welcomed a magician to the event who undoubtedly made people at ease and created plenty of conversations.

The following slot on the agenda was filled by the charity for the event, The Midlands Air Ambulance who was represented by Jon Cottrell. The Midlands Air Ambulance is a Charity that as a company we have continued to support as it is a cause that is very close to our hearts.

Covering six Midlands Counties, the charity needs £6.5million each year just to stay operational. With no lottery funding or government backing, The Midlands Air Ambulance relies solely on the generosity of the UK public to be able to respond to over 2,000 missions every year.

It was then time for a short break for a little more networking and to allow for the canapés to be presented by our hosts, Browns at the Quay who were also generously sponsoring the event.

The canapés were very much welcomed by everyone who attended as both the friendliness of the Browns staff and the quality of food was commented upon on many occasions.

The moment then arrived for the guest speaker for the event, theCEO of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, Mike Ashton.

As a company we very much value our local chamber as they provide us with so many opportunities to grow our business while being an important source of support.

Throughout the night everyone was encouraged to purchase raffle tickets in support of our event charity and this culminated in the raffle being drawn by our MD, Peter Appleton and Mike Ashton.

A number of local businesses had very kindly donated the prizes for the raffle which included rounds of golf, box tickets at Worcester Warriors Rugby Club and dinner at local restaurants.

As a result, ISO Quality Services Ltd were proud to announce that over £800 was raised in aid of The Midlands Air Ambulance.

The Final surprise of the evening was a very special performance by the Winners of Strictly Worcestershire 2015 winners, Laura and Hursty.

Laura, a close friend and business associate of the Operations Director, Jennifer Appleton, rather foolishly promised to perform should they win a local ballroom dancing competition in aid of charity.

To their credit, Laura and Hursty honoured this promise and wowed the crowd with their fantastic routine.

Although the event was drawing to a close, many delegates opted to take advantage of the beautiful setting and lively atmosphere by staying well into the night.

We would like to thank you to the following people, without whom the event would not have taken place:
