Trans-Web Limited – Case Study

TRANS-WEB SUCCESSFUL TRANSITION TO ISO 9001:2015

ISO Quality Services Limited are delighted to announce that Trans-Web, based in Oldham, have successfully transitioned to the 2015 version of ISO 9001 with the help of consultancy from ISO Quality Services Limited.

Trans-Web are a leading UK manufacturer of webbing lifting slings, lashings and height safety equipment.  They had already been successfully running the 2008 version of the ISO 9001 Quality Management system but needed to upgrade to the new version in order for their UKAS accreditation to continue. As Director Lee Wrigley comments –

“For Trans-Web having a quality system in place was vital for us to show that we are a professional company to deal with and produce a quality product on time”.

Internally having ISO 9001 has an impact too as Trans-Web haveprocedures that make the company work efficiently and systems in place to give the customer the best support.”

ISO Quality Services Limited were recommended to Trans-Web for their upgrade process to the latest edition of the 9001 standard.  ISO Quality Services initially sent in our auditor to conduct a GAP analysis to see what needed to be done to bring Trans-Web’s systems up to date with the new version of the standard.  This now includes a risk based approach, bringing the standard in line with the other key ISO standards.

Following the GAP analysis ISO Quality Services’ auditor produced a list of findings which led to a consultancy appointment to help Trans-Web implement the findings of our auditor.  He then went on to produce a small manual for Trans-Web to document their new updated systems.

The whole process took around 3 months.

We were so pleased to hear that in January 2018, Trans-Web achieved their accreditation and passed with flying colours.

We asked Lee if he had any comments or advice for any other businesses concerned about the transition process.  His advice? “Get a consultancy company in to do it.  Another set of eyes makes it a lot easier and quicker in achieving your goal.”

And Lee went on to praise ISO Quality Services’ consultancy as “well planned and executed.  The auditor who did the work on site was very good, easy to work with and produced one of the best manuals our assessors had seen; a huge compliment given he travels all over the world.”

So from all at ISO Quality Services Limited, congratulations to Trans-Web on their successful transition.
