Rock Power Connections are proud to announce it has received ISO certification for ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and BS OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety) from ISO Quality Services Ltd.
ISO certification is a tried and tested framework for taking a systematic approach to managing an organisation’s processes. For Rock, this means our quality and environmental management systems together with our Health and Safety procedures have all hit the standard required to be ISO certified. For our clients, this means consistency in our levels of quality, service and operation on-site.
As the business celebrates its fourth year of trading, Finance Director – Matt – explains how the timing was right to seek the certification.
“One of Rock’s biggest challenges was to develop robust Health & Safety, Quality and Environment systems from the outset, which were comparable to the larger contractors already operating. Effectively, as a start-up Rock Power Connections had to be structured as a large, established company.
We were always confident we were operating to robust policies and procedures; external audits had proved that. Now felt the right time to progress through the official certification process.”
Over the past few months, the Rock team have been working closely with fellow Worcester business – ISO Quality Services Ltd to undertake a gap analysis on our Quality, Environment and Health & Safety Management Systems.
Administration Manager – Jenny – has been heavily involved: “Luckily there weren’t many gaps to fill! Being officially certified to all three standards offers our clients confidence that our processes are as good as we say they are! We’re really grateful to Martin Millward from ISOQSL for sharing his extensive knowledge on best practice. It really helps to take us above and beyond!”
Being able to follow the ISO certification process with a local company has proved an efficient and hassle-free experience. Jennifer Appleton – Operations Director of ISO Quality Services Ltd – added:
“As a business we really value working with other local SME companies – after meeting Emma from Rock Power Connections at a Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber event we remained in contact and when the time was right Emma got in touch.
Having a close working relationship through being part of the same membership organisation has allowed both businesses the opportunity for a fantastic partnership that we hope to enjoy for many years to come.”
