Highly Commended at the Midlands Family Business Awards

After winning the Employer of the Year category last year, we knew that it was important to show that we had progressed from last year’s entry. We are delighted to announce that we were awarded ‘Highly Commended’ this year in this category, which is fantastic news for the whole team.

We would like to congratulate National Locums who were named Employer of the Year 2016.

ISO Quality Services Ltd was started in 2000 by Peter Appleton after having worked in the industry previously. Following on from this, his daughter Jennifer Appleton joined the business 6 years ago and has taken over the day to day operations.

The company has established a close, well-knit team that regularly comment about the team being like an ‘extended family’. This family ethos is something that is very important to ISO Quality Services and its directors.

Jennifer strives on developing people; this is done through our award winning apprenticeship scheme and successful graduate scheme. Every employee plays a vital part in the direction of the business and ensuring it runs smoothly day-to-day.

Upon being named highly commended Jennifer said, “It is great to have been recognised once again by the Midlands Family Business Awards, and to be awarded highly commended in this category shows that they recognised the steps we have taken to continue to develop our staff. In the last year we have had 3 new members of staff and introduced more initiatives which promote up-skilling, training as well as looking at employee’s mental and physical health and welfare.”

Established in 2010, The Midlands Family Business Awards is a charitable initiative organised by Nottinghamshire family business The Wilson Organisation. Through the awards the business strives to “create an ethical, friendly and supportive community for our region’s family businesses”.

Arrivista Award

We were also really fortunate to be presented with an award from Arrivista last Thursday at their Christmas gathering on the 1^st December at Stanbrook Abbey in Worcestershire.

Arrivista are a business coaching company, and have been supporting businesses in Worcester for 10 years. They offer consultancy, workshops and on-site training.

We have been working with Arrivista for about 6 months now and recently joined their Business Growth Campaign, bringing together businesses in Worcester. We partnered wi
th Arrivista to deliver a workshop looking at achieving business success in October 2016. The workshop was so much of a success that Arrivista awarded us their Partner of the Year 2016!
